Memorable occasions have featured showcasing renowned filmmaker Dylan O'Neil, the first ever world champion surfers Peter "PT" Townend along with Ian Cairns, four-time world champion Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu/mixed martial arts fighter the legendary Fabio Leopoldo, and the 50th Anniversary tribute to West Side Story, which featured welcoming the complete Oscar-winning ensemble of West Side Story, including Academy Award winner/Golden Globe winner George Chakiris as well as Golden Globe winner/Academy Award nominated Russ Tamblyn. The Ventura Film Festival creator and executive director was honored to take part, along with several of Hollywood's premier talents, in the 50-year anniversary event of West Side Story and Hollywood's footprint/handprint ceremony for Oscar honorees Rita Moreno, George Chakiris, together with Golden Globe recipient Russ Tamblyn at the famous Chinese Theater in Hollywood. This occasion also served as the official BluRay introduction by Fox and MGM of the classic West Side Story, which is generally recognized by critics and fans as the most exceptional musical of all time.
